Lowell Five Lends Strong Support to Rising Strongwater’s 2023 Campaign
Tewksbury, 22 September 2023 – In a time of adversity, community solidarity shines through as Lowell Five proudly joins hands with Strongwater Farm in their #RisingStrongwater2023 campaign.
The recent onslaught of historic rainfall had a devastating impact on Strongwater Farm, leading to widespread damage and unexpected costs. Deep channels formed in walking areas, fallen trees obstructed therapeutic riding trails, unstable paddocks posed risks to both horses and volunteers, and multiple leaks in the roof resulted in wet feed for the animals. This unforeseen situation strained resources, requiring increased staff supervision and impacting programs. #RisingStrongwater2023 hopes to raise $85,000 by the end of the year to recover from flooding, address drainage issues, and reinforce and sustain programming.
However, amidst these challenges, Strongwater Farm exemplifies resilience and hope. The #RisingStrongwater2023 campaign embodies their determination to overcome adversity, turning a moment of calamity into a story of triumph with the support of partners like Lowell Five and the wider community.

[Tewksbury, 13 September 2023] – In the face of challenges as daunting as rising waters, Strongwater Farm is
turning the tide and inviting the community to join them in a movement of resilience and hope. During the
August and September historic rainfall, Strongwater Farm experienced devastating flooding. Not only did their
grain and hay room become flooded, resulting in unusable hay, ruined grain, and a scramble to find sources for
enough dry and non-moldy hay for 15 horses, but the flood waters created deep channels in their walking
paths and paddocks. This damage has been ongoing, increasing slightly with every new onslaught of rain. Now
hurricanes threaten them with thousands more gallons of rain, but they are taking it all in stride.
[Tewksbury, September 1, 2023] – Amidst unexpected trials, Strongwater Farm is harnessing
the unity within us to convert challenges into opportunities for growth.
Due to unprecedented floods and associated challenges, the 5th Annual Strongwater Farm Hoe
Down event scheduled for October 1, 2023, has been canceled and re-imagined in light of
present circumstances. Instead, we are thrilled to introduce you to a community-building
campaign: #RisingStrongwater2023.
