It is with heavy hearts that we report that Gracie has been dealing with a series of illnesses and after the most recent decline, we received a very unfavorable prognosis. After this last veterinary consultation, the Equine Management Team made the difficult humane decision to let Gracie sleep peacefully and begin her next journey.
Gracie joined the Strongwater family almost two years ago. During her time at Strongwater, Gracie touched the hearts and lives of many. Her sleek Thoroughbred-Paint beauty, kindness, soft eye and sensitivity, made her a favorite amongst staff, volunteers and students alike.
We hope each of us, in our own way, can find a way to honor Gracie’s spirit and huge heart–taking some of her softness and kindness into ourselves. Gracie touched many lives, teaching us all different lessons. We are grateful to her for the many lessons in sensitivity, communication, and care we experienced with her.
The entire Strongwater Family shares this sorrow and is grateful for the love and support of our community. With care and compassion for one another, we will begin the healing process.
